With my roots in Southern Ontario, I currently live in the prairies on beautiful Treaty One, the traditional territory of Anishinaabeg, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota, and Dene Peoples, and the homeland of the Métis Nation.

Being first generation Canadian on my mother's side and third generation farmers on my father's side, the history of European colonization is complex, and ever present.

Unraveling these layers of internalized racism, white supremacy, patriarchy and domination practices in all areas of life is my continual life practice.

As part of my post-colonial art practice I reconnect with old world paint making technologies. I work with earth and stone, plant and root. Water, metal, fire. All the elements are present in this creative chemical process.  The often spontaneous nature of my work leans into impermanence, and the beautiful relinquishing of power.
